The contest really broke the mould back in the day, being the first event to actually offer money to bodybuilders in Australia.  That particular division was open to male bodybuilders Australia wide, and included a couple of household names – Graeme Lancefield and Michael Melksham.  Michael was, of course, a Junior Mr. Universe, and Gladiator Taipan.
