This was the first ever World Championships held in Latin America and the whole event set a new level of excellence. In particular it had the greatest participation of South American physique stars to be seen at an international contest.

Held in beautiful NATAL in Brazil, the men’s contest produced a standard and quality never seen before at a World Championships. The largest team was from Holland with another large team from UK also competing. Poland provided the surprises of the championships with 2 class winners including overall champion Piotr Gluchowski.
