Special thanks to the late Doris Barrilleaux who took these photos of Bev posing in the pink bikini. Bev Francis is an gym owner and retired professional bodybuilder, powerlifter, and Australian national shot put champion. In 1987 she won the IFBB World Pro Championships. She has also starred in the movies Pumping Iron II: The Women (video download or DVD), and Being Strong.

Bev won gold medals in her weight class in the International Powerlifting Federation Championships from 1980 to 1985 and held all of the world records in her class.

In Pro bodybuilding, Bev placed 2nd in the 1990 and 1991 IFBB Ms. Olympias. In 2005, the gym opened some years before with Steve Weinberger in Syosset, New York had its name changed to Powerhouse Gym, Bev Francis. Known as the East Coast Mecca.  Bev has been inducted into the International Powerlifting Federation Hall of Fame and the IFBB Hall of Fame.
